Very Good Family Friendly Hotel in Kyoto
Top 3 reasons: Location, Room Space/Comfort and Facilities, Staff and Service. The hotel was very close, walkable distance to the Kyoto main train station (15 mins brisk walk) and the Toji train station across the road from hotel was very convenient to connect to other places including Osaka. The bus stop close to hotel helps you to connect to all parts of Kyoto for sightseeing. There is a convenience store next door for essentials with cash machine. There are a few small restaurants, just outside the hotel building. The Nepali restaurant across the road was very handy for us with vegetarian food options. Room: We booked a family room, it was spacious, clean and comfy for a family of 3. Our room was at the back of the building and was away from the busy main road, so it was all quiet to rest and recover. Others - I thought the free toiletries and snacks in the common area at all times for hotel guests was really a nice gesture.
Breakfast options could be improved, especially for vegans. Checkout time at 10.00 am is a bit of struggle for families with children in the morning, so it can be relaxed on a case by case basis instead of a blanket approach.

Wonderful
The hotel was so nice and quiet, had a bar running with snacks and unlimited coffees and matcha. Lovely breakfast, staff, and very clean rooms
Our room could’ve been a tiny bit bigger, and a bit far from the city but station is right outside and food spots around so not bad!
